Generally speaking, once you place your order, it takes around 4-8 weeks for us to install your system and for it to be up and running, and generating energy.
There are a few variables, however, that determine whether your installation is at the top or bottom of this range:
- Installation date preferences - When you place your order, we ask for your preferred weekdays for your installation. We then schedule your installation based on these days, so the more flexibility you have the higher the chance we can schedule a closer date.
- State Government Support - Depending on your state and the support you apply for, this approval process can add anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to the timeline before you’re even able to place your order. It’s helpful to ensure you have all the documentation needed for your application as soon as you’re able to begin it.
- Meter reconfiguration: After your installation has been completed, your energy retailer will organise a meter reconfiguration so that your system can begin exporting excess energy. Depending on your retailer and network, this process can sometimes (though rarely) take up to 20 days to complete.
