When do you pay your remaining balance?

Modified on Fri, 13 Oct, 2023 at 5:14 PM

Your remaining balance is charged the day after your installation has been completed, on the card that you used to make your initial deposit. Before we do this, we check that your system has been installed correctly and that everything is operating how it should be.

If you’d like to use a different card, please message us through the UPowr platform.

How does this apply to State Government Loans/Rebates?

If you've been successful in applying for a UPowr supported Government interest-free loan (e.g. Victoria's Solar Homes program), and there is no remaining balance, the deposit will be refunded.

What happens if your card declines?

If the card you used to make your deposit declines when charged the remaining balance, we will get in touch with you immediately to let you know. We can then update your card details to charge a different card or speak to you about alternative options.

If you don’t respond, we will attempt to charge it every second day for a week. If after a fortnight from the initial charge attempt, we have not heard from you on how to proceed with payment, we will take appropriate steps to recover the remaining balance.
