If your home is under a strata or body corporate arrangement, we need written evidence of approval for solar. Please reply to this email if this applies to you.
What evidence is acceptable?
We require written evidence of approval. A letter or email from the Chair of your body corporate, or a copy of the minutes of a strata meeting will suffice. If you are in a small stata complex for a duplex, an email will suffice from both owners.
Can UPowr coordinate with my strata manager for the approval?
It is your responsibility as the homeowner to communicate and coordinate with your strata manager to understand their requirements for approval. Ask them to send you an email clearly outlining the artefacts or evidence they require for approval to expedite the process.
What if my Strata requires extra evidence to approve?
In your quote, you will see an image of the proposed panel design. Once we move ahead to prepare for installation, the UPowr team will also prepare the following artefacts that can be shared with your strata:
- System design with markup of the inverter location
- Single Line Diagram (SLD)
What if my strata asks for other artefacts, such as a structural engineering certificate?
UPowr does not provide a structural engineering certificate for residential installations, these would be an additional variation. Please email or call us directly if your strata has additional requests beyond the above.
