If you’re in NSW and planning to install a battery (as an add-on to an existing solar system or as part of a new solar and battery system), the great news is you can save money on it through a new NSW Government scheme.
As part of their Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, you could save:
$770 to $1,150 when you install a 6.5 kWh battery
$1,600 to $2,400 when you install a 13.5 kWh battery.

How Wattle Powr can help
We’re here to guide you through the whole process.
First, we’ll tailor and design a system for you around a battery that’s eligible for the scheme. Then we’ll send you a quote with your incentive already included. This quote will also walk you through how much you’ll save on your energy bills and how your battery will perform.
If you’re happy with the quote, you can pay your deposit. Then, we’ll take care of everything else to get your system installed and up and running.
During the installation process, you'll need to sign a nomination form allowing the Accredited supplier (an organisation that we’ve partnered with) to receive the incentive from the NSW Government. You must sign this form before you can receive a discount on your installation. Once you have completed the nomination form and signed the contract, you can proceed with the installation and receive your discount.

What are the benefits of a battery?
Installing a battery can have huge benefits. In addition to helping to reduce electricity demand on the grid during peak periods (the NSW Government’s reason for offering the scheme), it can also:
Help to reduce your energy bills by allowing you to store and use more of the solar energy that you generate throughout the day
Provide you with backup power during outages
Reduce your environmental footprint by using more renewable energy.
