A solar system contains different pieces of hardware, each developed through a different manufacturer. To make it simple for customers, we help manage the warranty for your system as your single point of contact.
This means we manage the warranty for your products and our installation service:
- Installation Services Warranty – 10 years
- Panels: We use Astronergy Astro 5’s (CHSM54M-HC-415W) with a 25-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty.
- Inverters: The Goodwe Single Phase inverter range comes with a 10-year product warranty.
- Racking (Mounting System): We use Clenergy products, which also come with a 10-year product warranty.
What is covered?
For the Solar Panels, Inverter and Mounting Systems, the product warranty covers product defects - essentially when the product doesn’t do what it’s designed to do. We’re able to use our monitoring systems to monitor this for you and let you know when something isn’t performing as it should. Additional information on product warranties from manufacturers can be found here.
Making claims
Different manufacturers have varying requirements when submitting a product warranty claim. We help you with this process by emailing you the required information from the solar system/installation site, and then work through the claim journey with you as best we can.
For installation warranty issues, we talk with the installer and get them back to site as soon as possible to address any issues. It’s important to note that our installers don’t take on the responsibility of any electrical work done previously and will only commence the solar installation if it is safe for them to do so.
To claim under this Installation Services Warranty, please contact us. When you do this, you will need to provide:
- your name, address and a contact telephone number;
- outline of the nature of the workmanship defect; and
- photo evidence of the workmanship defect.
No ‘orphaned’ systems
A number of solar systems in Australia are left orphaned if an installer closes the business, or if a manufacturer is no longer contactable. While we’ve built our business model to last - if we were no longer operating, your system is safeguarded with our welcome packs. These packs include the hardware warranties and contact numbers so you can engage with the manufacturers directly should it be required.
You have other statutory rights
This Installation Services Warranty applies in addition to any statutory rights or remedies you may have, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
